# Do I necessarily need a private proxy server?

When using a shared proxy server, traffic may increase on certain proxy country servers, causing extraction speeds to slow down or making data extraction difficult. Because they are public resources, if many users are using them at a particular time and a lot of data extraction is taking place, this kind of problem can occur. If you use a private proxy in this case, you can use the server exclusively and extract data without these issues.[Listly Team](https://app.gitbook.com/o/Uu6AM3fgpZza0EpsJM4N/s/YGc5sjVBgcKnZgEEEkus/~/edit/~/changes/2/support/frequently-asked-questions/proxy/do-i-necessarily-need-a-private-proxy-server)If you request it from the Listly Team, we will purchase a proxy server on your behalf that can be used exclusively by that user account and set it up as a premium proxy for you. The proxy server's country, quantity, and so on can be determined after consulting with the Listly Team, and the cost will be charged separately.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.listly.io/support/faq/proxy/do-i-necessarily-need-a-private-proxy-server.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
